National AG Bell provides many benefits such as national conventions, the Volta Voices magazine, the Volta Review, publications, outreach, training, advocacy, scholarships and financial aid awards. Your membership dues go to support all these benefits.
The individual state chapters receive 18% or less of your membership dues: $11.00 per member per annum – and this is simply not enough to provide the type of programs we offer. Because of this, we must spend time and energy to raise enough money to continue to provide the high quality programs that we have since 1984.
We hold many different types of fundraising events and are always looking for fresh, new innovative ideas. Please watch this section for ways you can support us. We will be holding dinners at restaurants that will donate a portion of their revenue to us. We will be holding a Bake Sale and Silent Auction at the Summer Splash picnic with items donated by board members and interested community members. Please consider donating a “theme basket” such as “Language Activities”, “Hearing Aid/Cochlear Implant Care Kit”, “A Visit to Gramma’s Basket”, “Grandpa, Play With Me!”, or an “Activities for in the Car”. Do you have an idea for an item you would like to donate? If so, please contact us at Listening@miagbell.org
Members and others can help by supporting the various fundraisers and attending our events.
To make supporting the Michigan Chapter of AG Bell even easier, we now have a Pay Pal link directly on our website – and hope you will try it out!
AG Bell is a great organization and the only one that supports Advocating Independence through Listening and Talking!
Thank you!
